Reads shape summaries from a slide or presentation.

Description

Returns PowerShell-friendly metadata for text boxes, pictures, tables, charts, and auto shapes.

Examples

Inspect one slide.

Get-OfficePowerPointSlide -Presentation $ppt -Index 0 | Get-OfficePowerPointShape

Returns shape summaries for the selected slide.

Find pictures on a slide.

Get-OfficePowerPointShape -Presentation $ppt -Index 0 -Kind Picture

Filters the slide output to picture shapes only.

Parameters

-Kind OfficePowerPointShapeKind[] optional
Optional shape kind filter.
Possible values: TextBox, Picture, Table, Chart, AutoShape, GroupShape
-Name String[] optional
Optional wildcard filter for shape names.
-ShapeIndex Int32[] optional
Optional zero-based shape index filter.
-Slide PowerPointSlide optionalpipeline: True (ByValue)sets: Slide
Slide to inspect (optional inside the DSL).
-Index Int32 optionalsets: Presentation
Optional zero-based slide index when reading from a presentation.
-Presentation PowerPointPresentation optionalpipeline: True (ByValue)sets: Presentation
Presentation whose slides should be inspected.

Common Parameters

This command supports the common parameters: -Debug, -ErrorAction, -ErrorVariable, -InformationAction, -InformationVariable, -OutVariable, -OutBuffer, -PipelineVariable, -Verbose, -WarningAction, and -WarningVariable.
